Reflective Journal
The last project, the video tutorial! I decided to go with the very simple idea of making a box. I first learned how to make a box in elementary school. However, I remembered when the teacher demonstrated the process she held and folded the paper up in the air in front of the whole classroom. This made it difficult to see how she accomplished very intricate folds. YouTube did not exist at the time, but if it did, the teacher would have been able to film the intricate process so anyone that might have missed a step could watch the video and follow along. Thanks to the prompt of this project, I was able to make my own how-to video! Just like any other project, there are some challenges I faced. Originally, I wanted to do a voice over in my tutorial. Unluckily for me I ended up getting sick during the production of the video, so subtitle instructions would have to suffice. Also, I had to record the process a few times, which resulted in a stack of boxes, until I ended up with a decent recording that had a good shot of the intricate folds. Other than that, all the skills I learned from past projects in this class made the editing process of this video quite easy. Overall, I enjoyed working on this tutorial and hope that I made it simple enough so people of all ages and skill levels could follow along. :)
